Get Out of Town!
Hello, If you were one of the 20 or so who turned up Thursday 14th Jan at our New Members' Evening then thanks a lot for coming and hopefully see you at an event soon (remember you can try out up to 3 events with us before deciding to join!) If unfortunately you couldn’t make it, then fear not. Aside from our regular walks, where you are welcome to just turn up (click on ‘What’s On’ located on the left of this screen and then the ‘Events calendar’ to show you what we have planned), we will be having our next monthly social, The CLOG Valentine Olympics on Thursday 18 February, and everyone is welcome (details will be on the Events Calendar nearer the time). As you get to know us, you’ll discover we are a very easygoing bunch, of all ages, shapes and sizes (we’re a non-profit club, run by members for members). Every one of us has been in your situation before, of being a newbie, and has dived in to make the most of a great club. So if you fancy giving us a try, why not take the plunge and come along to an event? What bonds us is that we all share a passion for walking in the countryside, escaping town and generally just having a good time. Membership for the year only costs £30 (the price of a nice top/shirt) and you can dive in and out as much as you like for that year. Hopefully see you soon, CLOG
What is CLOG?
Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) is for people interested in outdoor activities. We are based in Central London and offer people an opportunity to explore the countryside. If you like getting away from it all we can offer a great opportunity to do this by joining in our active programme of walks and outdoor events. It is a good way both to visit places you haven't seen and to make friends with people with similar interests. CLOG has over 200 members living all over London and the surrounding area. With a group this large there is usually something to interest you. The one thing we share in common is that we are all people who are interested in enjoying the outdoors. |

Outdoor activities are the main focus of the group and there is something on most weekends. Our main activity is walking in the countryside. We have a mixture of walks on offer. Some are just for the day or evening while others are walking trips for weekends and longer periods.

The best way to find out whether the group can offer the right mix of outdoor and social events for you is to try us out. You can come along on up to three outdoor or social events to decide if it's what you are looking for before you need to make a decision about whether to take up membership. If you're interested in joining there is a small annual membership subscription of £30. You can download a membership form on the How to Join page. Please contact the Membership Secretary (details on the Contacts page) if you have any queries. |
